Need a Hand?
'Improvise, adapt & overcome... To enjoy your life more, do a 'cadre' on being 'happier and healthier':
Our Regimental association prime role is: 'Comradeship, Communication & Care' as the Regiment has the PWRR Benevolent Fund. We can access help for our veterans in need via a range of agencies (ABF, RBL, Combat Stress, Help for Heroes, etc). Contact RHQ if you have an urgent issue but in outline our welfare system always needs a SSAFA assessment of the need and then the appropriate care or help can be given. We recommend PWRR Veterans also browse the excellent online advice via the SSAFA veterans' website here.
Our Events & Reunions
- Branches (larger/county comradeship) & Ambushes (local comradeship) are the 2 formations we use as Tigers.
- We use Facebook Sites often not open to the public. Join one now but as some are not searchable, just ask your branch.
- Join your PWRR branch by submitting your contact / ex-service details and county here.
- Form a local ambush of Tigers - Local, meet for a pint every month same day/time. Easy (will you help sort one?) follow the button PWRR Ambushes. above...
Communications Policy
We live in a modern world and anyone can start a Facebook Group etc and communicate. However, as a Regiment we have our reputation to uphold and many groups who would like to criticise us or try to damage our reputation.
Websites: As a Regt we use this website for news/events/policy and the MoD Tigers site (for official info and recruiting focus). Facebook has the 4 x Battalion groups and the one PWRR Assoc group (closed / private for security reasons & 1600 members and growing weekly by approved access only). Veterans wishing to get in touch face 16+ groups and the main one thus acts as the Part One Orders for all to see.
All other chat sites are run by individuals and thus not official and not under the control or responsibility of the regiment at all nor are posts by members of them. Anyone running a group bearing the regt name or nickname is requested to follow our clear guidelines below which can be used as a link on the about page.

Code of Conduct for Social Media Use
Code of Conduct for Social Media Use by all PWRRA Members
Social Media can bring us closer to our comrades, offer mutual support and our usual humour.
We all automatically agree our code of conduct by joining any PWRR named group on any social media in that we always (mandatory):
The regiment's reputation is priceless: it is bigger than any one man...let us guard it preciously.

We all automatically agree our code of conduct by joining any PWRR named group on any social media in that we always (mandatory):
- Speak respectfully and avoid bad language that may offend other people.
- We are never racist nor homophobic - we support the modern army social tolerances as we are modern veterans.
- If in doubt, don't post. If out drinking, or after a night out, then don't post!
- We do not get into infantry 'ding dongs' and 'rants' - if we do make a mistake we do apologise; we shall forgive. We are Tigers.
- We are fighting men so we are proudly tough but we also respect and support our spouses, children and families. Always.
The regiment's reputation is priceless: it is bigger than any one man...let us guard it preciously.
UK Veteran Gateway
The UK Veteran Gateway was launched by MOD in June 2017. It is full of information and should be useful for veterans and is useful for families also. Click here.
The UK now has an improved system for veteran care under the Armed Forces Covenant [good video here] launched by the UK Government. As an Association we call for yet more to be done for Mental Health in UK Veterans.

PWRR Veterans' Dress Code
Branches can advise you but on parades or public events, PWRR Veterans are a team and wear: Blazer, white shirt regimental tie and medals, grey or dark trousers, polished shoes and berets.
Veteran Officers wear: dark lounge suit, white shirt, medals, bowler hat or beret (a choice) and a Regimental tie or PWRR Officers' Club tie. PWRR forebear regiment veterans follow their traditional dress codes and are always welcome at any PWRR event or parade. RemembranceWe all remember our fallen on Remembrance Sunday each November at our local memorials. The Regiment is always represented at the Cenotaph in London (contact London branch) but PWRR veterans should don your beret and medals (if held) and attend your own local ceremony to show our local presence at every village and town in the PWRR area. Contact your local Royal British Legion Branch here to find out more.
